CAIRO – 2 June 2017: Hector Bellerin decided to donate £50 for every minute he played for Spain during the U21 UEFA European Championship. Bellerin’s donations help Grenfell Tower fire victims.

The 22 year old Spaniard will donate £19,050 to the British Red Cross after playing 381 minutes in the competition. Spain lost against Germany 1-0 in the final.

“I promised to donate £50 for every minute I played at #U21Euro. I will be donating to @BritishRedcross. Please support in any way you can,” Bellerin wrote on Sunday on his official Twitter account.

The tragic fire at Grenfell Tower killed 80 people on June 14 in West London. Many players contributed to the campaign to help the victims such as: Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.

Bellerin moved from Barcelona to London to play for Arsenal FC Youth in 2011. He has been a regular top performing Arsenal player since 2015.
