CAIRO-28 January 2021: Egypt handball national team head coach Roberto Parrondo praised his players after their heroic performance against Denmark on Wednesday night in the quarter-finals of the IHF Men's Handball World Cup.

Parrondo believes that his team did everything to win the match but they did not have luck.

"We played against the world champions, they are a big team and the only team who have yet to draw or lose yet we only lose on penalty throws." Parrondo said.

The hosts were so close from victory in many periods in the match but some silly mistakes costed the Pharaohs the victory.

The game was decided on penalties as the regular time and the extra time ended with a 35-35 draw.

The head coach added "My goal now is to keep evolving this team for the future. We have a strong team who can face the biggest teams in the world."

Denmark reached the semi-finals and they will challenge Spain for a spot in the World Cup final.
