CAIRO-24 January 2021: Egypt's star Ahmed Hesham expects a tough clash against Slovenia in the last match of the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship main round at Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex.

“We are preparing for it just like any other game, but it will be a difficult game, yet we will make sure that we know their points of strength and weakness.” Hashem said.

The Pharaohs enter the match as the group leaders after they bounced back from their loss against Sweden with two victories over Russia Handball Federation and Belarus.

Hashem put on sensational performance against Belarus and claimed the Man of the Match award.

Egypt needs one point to secure a spot in the quarter-finals but the hosts aim to reach the quarter-finals as group leaders to avoid facing the main contenders for the title and the defending champions, Denmark.

The player commented on the Egyptian fans’ support to the team, saying “The support coming from the fans, who aren't present is shown to us through our families and friends,"

On the other hand, Sweden will take on Russian Handball Federation to decide who will book a ticket to the next round.
