CAIRO-16 January 2021: Egypt handball national team faces North Macedonia on Saturday night at Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex.

The Pharaohs, who defeated Chile in the opening game, are looking forward to achieving their second victory in the competition and securing their place in the second round.

"It’s a big challenge for Egypt to organize the World Championship amid COVID-19 pandemic but we will succeed and the team will put on a superb performance,” Egypt star Ali Zein told the tournament's official website.

On the other hand, North Macedonia aims to bounce back after losing on Thursday to Sweden.

Egyptian national team captain Ahmed El Ahmar is expected to be back to the team against North Macedonia after missing the first match due to injury.

Egypt's match against North Macedonia will be followed by a match between Sweden, the group leaders, and Chile.

Egypt hosts the competition between 13 and 31 January 2021, with the participation of 32 teams for the first time in the competition's history.
