CAIRO-11 December 2020: Arsenal defeated Dundalk of Ireland 4-2 on Thursday night in the final round of the Europa League group stage.

The English giants, who secured their qualification to the second round earlier, advanced to the second round with a 100% record as they won their six group stage matches.

“Well the group stage in general has been very positive, obviously. It's never easy to win these games in Europe. I think we've been really consistent and performing well.” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said after the match.

The Gunners’ Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny was among Arsenal’s starting line-up for the match and he had a strong impact in the match.

Arsenal opened the score after 12 minutes by Eddie Nketiah while Mohamed Elneny doubled the score as he scored a screamer into the top corner to double the score.

Jordan Flores pulled one back for the hosts as the first half ends with a 2-1 lead for the visitors.

Joe Willock and Florain Balogun added another two goals for the visitors while Sean Hoare scored the Irish team’s second goal in the maych.

Arteta commented on the victory, saying “Today's performance was overall positive because we won the game but as well we had some moments after scoring the first two goals where we were a little bit disconnected.”

The Gunners’ manager aims to improve the team’s performance in the league when they face Burnley on Sunday.
