CAIRO, 18 November 2020: The Egyptian Football Association announced that Ahmed Hassan "Koka", the Egyptian national team and Olympiacos striker, was tested positive for COVID-19.

The statement said: "The results of the swabs that were conducted for the members of the national team on Wednesday morning, upon their return from Togo, showed negative results for all members of the delegation except 3 members."

"The three positive results are, Ahmed Hassan Kouka, Shadi Al-Gilani, the media coordinator for the team, and Muhammad Abdo, the team's masseur."

The Football Association had previously announced that Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El-Neny, the two national team players, were tested positive.

The Egyptian national team faced their counterpart Togo twice during the current international suspension in November, winning both matches with results 1-0 and 3-1.

The Egyptian national team tops its group in the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Cameroon, with 8 points, on goal difference, from the second Comoros national team.
