Salah-less Egypt hosts Togo in AFCON Qualifiers

CAIRO-14 November 2020: Egypt hosts Togo on Saturday night at Cairo stadium in the third round of Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers. 
 
The national team will face Togo without the team's star Mohamed Salah, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, according to the Egyptian Football Association's statement. 
 
Egypt plays in Group C in the Qualifiers alongside Comoros, Kenya and Togo.
 
Egypt comes third in the group with two points from two draws against Kenya at home and Comoros in Moroni.
 
Togo got only one point after two games in the qualifiers as they lost the opening game at home against Comoros while the second game against Kenya ended with a 1-1 draw.
 
Egypt needs to secure the three points to improve their situation in the group before facing Togo again on Tuesday 17 November in Lome. 
 
Egypt's expected line-up consists of: Mohamed El Shenawy, Mohamed Hany, Mahmoud Hamdy El Wensh, Ahmed Hegazi, Ayman Ashraf, Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Elneny, Abdullah El Said, Ahmed Sayed Zizou, Mahmoud Trezeguet and Ahmed Hassan Koka. 
 
The game starts on 9:00 pm.
