Al-Masakeni denies negotiations with Al-Masry

CAIRO, 11 November 2020: Youssef Al-Masakeni, a player for the Qatari club, Al-Duhail and the Tunisian national team, said that there are no negotiations between him and Al Masry club of Port Said, indicating that he is waiting for the decision of his future.
 
"There are no negotiations between me and Al-Masry," Al-Masakeni said in Tunis newspaper.
 
And he continued, "My contract is still valid with Al Duhail for an additional season, and I await a future settlement in the coming period."
 
Earlier press reports said that Al-Masry was in negotiations with the captain of the Tunisian national team, but, according to FilGoal.com, a source close to the player said that this did not happen.
 
Youssef Al-Masakeni, 30, has been playing for the Tunisian national team for Al-Duhail, since January 2013, when he joined Lekhwiya before his merger and transfer to Al-Duhail, and he previously played for the Tunisian Esperance team.
 
Al-Masakeni participated in three matches with his team in the Qatari League this season and contributed to making one goal.
 
Al-Masakeniparticipated with the Tunisian national team in 64 matches in all competitions, during which he scored 11 goals and made 16 others.
 
The Tunisian star played for his country in the 2019 Nations Cup in Egypt, scoring two goals and setting one goal.
 
The Tunisian national team captain is on his country's list during the current international suspension of Tanzania coaches in the qualifiers for the Nations Cup in Cameroon.
