Ceramica Cleopatra complete promoted trio

CAIRO-15 October 2020: Ceramica Cleopatra drew with Gomhoria Sporting Club to secure promotion to the Egyptian League for the first time in the club’s history.

On the other hand, Gomhoria also got the point needed to stay in the league.

Ceramica, led by Haitham Shaaban, accompanied Ghazl El Mahalla and National Bank of Egypt SC, who have secured promotion earlier this week.

Ceramica topped second division’s Group B with 43 points and finish the promotion race with one point ahead of Petrojet and two points ahead of El Dakhilya.

1973 Egyptian League champions, Ghazl El Mahalla, returned to the top division for the first time since 2016.

El Mahalla, led by the club’s legend, Khaled Eid, topped Group C with 47 points and finished the league with two points ahead of Pharco.

The National Bank of Egypt SC also secured promotion to the league for the first time in the club’s history after a promotion battle with Upper Egypt giants, Beni Suef SC and Al Aluminium Sports Club.
