CAIRO – 28 June 2017: Maged Mostafa led Egypt's under 21 volleyball squad to a loss against Italy on Wednesday. The national under 21 volleyball team lost against Italy in three sets in the second round of the World Cup held in the Czech Republic.

The team achieved their first win of the tournament on Tuesday against the Czechs during the first round. Egypt played 3 games, the first ended in a loss 3-0 against Brazil. They also lost to Japan and China, losing to both teams with the same score of 3-1.

The team is scheduled to meet the American national team on Thursday in the last rounds. The team plays in the sixth group to determine their place. Italy plays in the third group C, USA in the fourth group B, and the Czech in the third group A.
