CAIRO-17 September 2020: West Bromwich Albion Croatian manager Slaven Bilić revealed that the team defender Ahmed Hegazi is suffering from a hamstring injury, which forced him to miss the game against Harrogate Town on Wednesday.

"On Monday, the guys who didn’t play against Leicester had training. He did his hamstring in training, that’s the reason why he wasn’t involved." The manager said.

Hegazi was unused substitute in West Brom's Premier League opening game against Leicester City and he was forced to miss his team's 3-0 win over Harrogate Town in the FA Cup.

The Croatian manager added "It shouldn’t be big, he didn’t do it in a sprint or anything like that. Hopefully it’s a smaller one."

The Egyptian defender is a key player in Bilic's plans and he played a massive role in his team's journey to win promotion to the Premier League last season.
