CAIRO-12 September 2020:  Egyptian volleyball legend Azmy Migahed has died on Saturday as a result of COVID-19 complications. 
 
Former Egyptian International Amir Azmy, announced the death of his father after his health deteriorated due to COVID-19 complications. 
 
Azmy is one of the most notable volleyball players in the country, having won the best player in Africa award in 1974.
 
He spent most of his life at Zamalek and served the club till the last day of his life.
 
His son, Amir, is also a sporting icon but in different sport as Amir played football on the professional level and represented Zamalek and the Egyptian national team. 
 
Zamalek mourned the death of the club's former volleyball star, describing him as one of the club's volleyball icons as a player and a coach.
