CAIRO – 28 June 2017: Portugal and Chile will go head to head on June 28 in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup, held in Russia June 17 to July 2.

The champions of the Euro 2016, Portugal will enter the match after coming first in Group A with the lead of their manager Fernando Santos. Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to continue his excellent run of scoring goals being the number one goal scorer in the history of the Portuguese National team.

Portugal will be affected by missing their two defenders. Real Madrid’s center back Pepe will not play for being suspended. While Raphael Guerreiro the Portuguese left back will most likely not play because of an injury. Also, there are doubts regarding whether or not the attacking player Bernardo Silva will be able to play after picking up an injury in the last match on Saturday against New Zealand.

On the other side, the Champions of South America, Chile will enter the match coming second from Group B, led by their coach Juan Antonio Pizzi. Chile’s all time goal scorer Alexis Sanchez will be leading the team on the pitch along with Bayern Munich’s central midfielder Arturo Vidal. Chile will enter the match full team with no injuries after Charles Aranguiz manage to recover from the injury he received last match against Australia on Saturday.

The winner of this match will play the winner of Germany and Mexico’s match on Thursday, in the final of the Confederations Cup on July 2.
