CAIRO – 27 May 2017: Zamalek SC and Saudi-led Ittihad Jeddah reached an agreement to sign Mahmoud Abdel-Moniem (Kahraba) on loan for $ 2.5million per season.

The 23-year-old striker has been on loan from Zamalek since last season’s transfer window. As his season-long contract came to an end in May, it was rumored Kahraba was being considered for another season with the Saudi Ittihad Jeddah.

The transfer pact was rejected by the White Castle as they wanted $ 5 million in order to sell Kahraba.

Being the Saudi league’s third highest goal scorer, Kaharaba managed to net 16 goals in 20 appearances.

The national team striker showcased his superb football abilities during the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon where he netted a late winning goal in Egypt’s quarterfinal clash with Morocco, defeating the Atlas Lions for the first time in 31 years.
