Maarouf Youssef scored the first goal for Zamalek – Egypt Today

CAIRO – 28 June 2017: Maarouf Youssef and Stanley Ohawuchi scored two goals to help Zamalek win over Petrojet in Tuesday’s match at Petro Sport Stadium during the 32nd week of the Egyptian League.

After the win, Zamalek moved up to third position with 63 points while Petrojet stayed in the eighth position with 42 points.

Zamalek started the match with a desire to win to calm their fans before travelling to Zimbabwe to face CAPS United in the African Champions League.

Youssef scored the first goal after 24 minutes following a great pass from Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala.” Petrojet had a penalty at the 40th minute but Mostafa Shbeta, Petrojet’s defender, failed to score the equalizer for his team.

Ohawuchi secured the 3 points after scoring the second goal two minutes before the first half’s final whistle.

Zamalek is preparing for the remaining fixtures of African Champions League. Zamalek plays in the group alongside USM Alger, CAPS United and Al Ahli Tripoli.
