Al Nabarawy, Dr Ashraf Sobhy review the latest preparations for the competition

CAIRO-16 August 2020: Montasser Al Nabarawy, chairman of Tazkarti and Presentation company, believes that Egypt is capable of organizing the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship.

Al Nabarawy has pledged to organize a magnificent ceremony for the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship draw, which will be held on 5 September.

Al Nabarawy thanked President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Egyptian government and the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Ashraf Sobhy for their support.

He also praised Tamer Morsy, CEO of the United Company for Media Services, and the company's teams for their efforts to ensure the success of big events held in Egypt.

Egypt hosts the tournament for the second time in the history between 13 and 31 January across four venues in Cairo, 6th of October, New Administrative Capital and Borg El Arab.

The tournament will see the participation of 32 teams for the first time in the competition's history.

The 32 teams will split in eight groups of four teams each, with the top three teams of each group reaches the second round.

The 24 teams will then be split in four groups of six teams, with the top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.

The Egyptian team finished 6th when Egypt hosted the tournament for the first time in 1999 and two years later the Pharaohs achieved their biggest success in the competition's history when they finished 4th in France.
