CAIRO, 11 August 2020: Zamalek stumbled with a draw in their second match since the resumption of the Egyptian League, as they tied 1-1 with Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the postponed match of the 18th round of the Egyptian League.

In the face of the usual brilliance of Emad El-Sayed, goalkeeper of Ittihad in front of his former team, and Talaat Youssef's choices, which 9 key players missed, Ferjani Sassi's took the lead in the 44th minute of the first half which was enough to win a match.

Patrice Carteron tried many things, on top of it; the Tunisian participated in No. 10 in front of Tariq Hamed and Mohamed Hassan. All of this would have become reality, and indeed it continued until the 93rd minute of the match, when Ahmed Rashid scored a decisive goal secured one point for Ittihad.

After the match, Zamalek’s president Mortada Mansour fined Zamalek players, who participated in the match, 100k each as they wasted the victory.

Zamalek reached the 35th point and rose to third place equal to Pyramids, while Al-Ittihad remains fifth with 28 points.
