CAIRO-23 July 2020: Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson lifted the Premier League trophy in front of an empty Anfield except for the team staff and the players' families who were given permission to attend the spectacular ceremony.

Henderson received the long-awaited trophy from the club legend Kenny Dalglish, who was the team's manager when the Reds last won the title in 1990.

"Walking up there was amazing. The lads deserved their moment. Thankfully, the families were up there watching, that was a big thing for us. It's been an amazing season, to crown it off like that was special," Henderson said.

The fans' absence was the only thing the Reds missed in their night of celebrations as they got their hands on the silverware after three decades.

The team captain continued "It's been an amazing season and I am so thankful to be part of this club and team that has won the Premier League after 30 years."

Liverpool won the Premier League title with seven games to spare. They have a chance to finish the season with 99 points when they take on Newcastle United on Sunday at St James Park.
