Egyptians participate in Muju World Taekwondo Championship

CAIRO – 25 June 2017: Two Egyptians, Saif Issa and Noor Hussain, participated in the second day of the Muju World Taekwondo Championship, which runs from June 24 to 30 in Muju, South Korea. Issa, division, and Noor Hussain are representing Egypt.

The 19-year-old Issa, in the 74 kilogram, seeded number one in the world and the current tournament champion, will play his 64 stage match against the winner of the 128 stage match between the Burundian Faisal Saou Adoujo and the Cameroonian Rithy Van, according to Super Kora.

Hussain, 24 years old and in the 49 kilogram division, is ranked fifth in the tournament and will play her 32 stage match with the winner of the 64 stage match between Hong Kong fighter Wi Lam Seo and Czech Republic fighter Dominica Cheronova.

Two other Egyptians, Moaz Nabil and Habiba Essam, bid farewell to the tournament after being eliminated. Turkish fighter Deniz Dagdil defeated Nabil and Tunisian Fadya Ferhani defeated Essam.
