Mortada Mansour, President Zamalek Club, revealed that his team's players will not undergo testing for coronavirus.

Mortada Mansour said: "Zamalek players will not be tested for COVID-19. We will not follow EFA's instructions,"

"This is disrespectful and we will not sacrifice the players." he added in his remarks on the Zamalek channel,

"The Egyptian league stopped because of the Coronavirus, and now they want to continue the league? Is the Coronavirus over? Certainly not." Mortada continued.

"Zamalek's captain will come out with an official statement, to announce that the players will not to play any games in the league," he added.

The Football Association announced earlier that all clubs were notified in order to be tested for Corona virus.

Al Ahly started testing for COVID-19 for all the coaching staff, players & club workers in preparation for the return of sports activity, which is scheduled for July 1, according to EFA & Ministry of Youth & Sports.

Al-Ahly leads the Egyptian league standings with 49 points from 17 games, followed by Arab contractors with 33 points from 18 games, then Pyramids with 32 points from 18 games, then Zamalek comes with 31 points from 16 games.

Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, announced the timetable for the resumption of the activities of the Football Association in Egypt.

Starting from 20 June 2020 the training activity will return to the clubs.

While the Ministry allowed the official competition of the Egyptian Football Association activities to continue starting from 25 July 2020.
