CAIRO –23 June 2017: Premier League’s official Twitter account posted a video on Friday of some goals by Egyptian players who played in the Premier League, in celebration of Liverpool’s signing of Mohamed Salah.

The video showed two goals made by former Wigan Athletic FC striker Amr Zaki, who scored 10 goals in 35 appearances in the league. His double kick goal against Liverpool on October 18 2008 was chosen as one of the best goals of that season.

Three goals in the video were made by Tottenham Hotspur players. Ahmed Hossam Mido, who is now retired and coaching Wadi Degla FC in Egypt, scored two of those goals. Current Al-Ahly midfielder and captain Hossam Ghaly scored the third goal shown in the video in a match against Watford on March 17 2007.

Hull City right midfielder Ahmed El Mohamady also made an appearance in the video, scoring a header goal against Everton on January 1 2015.

The video ended with a clip of Mohmed Salah during his time with Chelsea. In the video, Salah scored a goal against Stoke City on April 5 2014. He has since returned to the Premier League after playing for Roma, joining Liverpool on June 23 in a € 42 million ($ 46.9 million) deal. Salah will be wearing the number 11 jersey.
