Egypt faces Brazil in U21 Volleyball World Cup

CAIRO –23 June 2017: The Egyptian under 21 men’s volleyball team is set to play their first match of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship in the Czech Republic on Friday at 8:00 PM Cairo local time. Their first match will be against Brazil.

The competition is being held from June 23 until July 2.

Egypt is in pool D, alongside Brazil, Japan and China. Egypt will face off against Japan on Saturday June 24 at 3:00 pm, and China on Sunday June 25 at 8:00 pm, according to International Federation of Volleyball FIVB website.

In all 16 teams are participating in the Czech World Championship. Egypt and Morocoo are the only African teams, while China, Japan and Iran represent the Asian teams. The three Latin American teams are Argentina, Brazil and Cuba , while six teams from Europe, the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Russia, Turkey and the Ukraine will be competing. Canada and the U.S. represent the North American teams in the competition.

The top two teams from each group will qualify to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
