UK Amb. quips on Salah’s transfer to Liverpool

CAIRO – 22 June 2017: British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson posted an encouraging and humorous quip via his official Twitter account on Wednesday regarding Mohamed Salah’s transfer to Liverpool.

The ambassador said, “He who drinks from the water of the Premier League (English football league) should return back to it. Come on Abo Salah, Liverpool did not win the league title since ‘28. We want you to lighten the Anfield Stadium (Liverpool’s stadium) and the World Cup of 2018.”

Previously, Casson posted a comment regarding Ramadan Sobhy’s move to the English football club Stoke City.
