CAIRO_9 April 2020: Mazinho, Former Brazilian winger and 1994 World Cup winner, revealed that Barcelona need to sign Neymar in the summer as the Brazilian is the natural replacement of Barcelona star, Lionel Messi.
"Barcelona would be delighted if he can return tomorrow. He is Messi's natural replacement and there is no other to replace Messi." Mazinho told Radio MARCA.
Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 to join PSG in France but the Brazilian player failed to adapt in France and he aims to return to play in Spain.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with signing the Brazilian star, who enjoys a strong friendship with Messi.
Mazinho commented on Bayern Munich's decision to resume training after taking precautionary measures to protect the players.
"If Bayern do it, they do it because there is no risk and they are providing security to all their footballers." Mazinho said.
Mazinho's son, Thiago, is playing for the German giants since 2013 when he joined them from Barcelona.
