CAIRO – 21 June 2017: In a match full of drama both on and off the pitch, a late goal from Nelson Ladzagla led his team Hilal Obayed to victory over the Alexandrian team Smouha this Tuesday in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The match showed both teams playing strong, with Hilal Obayed finally scoring the first goal 72 minutes into the match by Abo Baker Girfa. Shortly after Smouha midfielder Eslam Mohareb scored an equalizer before Ladzagla scored the winning goal.

Drama continued off the pitch when the Sudanese police were allegedly involed in an attack against the Smouha players in their dressing room. As reported by SuperKora, this clash was the continuation of heated conversations between both teams and the referee after the match.

Smouha stays at the bottom o group C with four points while Hilal Obayed has reached the top of the group with sevenpoints.

Smouha will play the next match against Zambian side ZESCO United in Alexandria and Hilal Obayed will host Recreativo de Libolo from Angola in the next round.
