CAIRO-19 March 2020: Egypt will shut all sporting clubs from 19:00 to 6:00, starting on 19 March until 31 March, according to the Egyptian government.

The decision also includes all restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, casinos, night clubs, bars, shopping centers (malls), and other local shops.

This decision comes in line with the nation's continuing efforts to raise the level of precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Egyptian Football Association, EFA, announced on Saturday 14 March that all football-related activities are suspended for two weeks as a result of the spread of coronavirus.

The suspension includes fixtures of all Egyptian league divisions and age groups.

Coronavirus outbreak has had a huge effect on football as many football competitions worldwide has been halted completely due to the coronavirus.

Egypt’s Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday evening that 14 new coronavirus cases were detected, including two foreigners and 12 Egyptians, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 210. However, it added that 40 patients were recovered from the disease and two cases of Egyptian nationals were discharged from the isolation hospital.
