CAIRO – 14 February 2020: Zamalek, CAF Confederation Cup winners, will face Tunisian giants, Esperance, who achieved the last two titles of CAF Champions League, at CAF Super Cup Final on Friday at Al-Gharrafa Stadium.

Three-time Super Cup winners, Zamalek, aim to achieve their fourth title in the competition’s history and their first title since 2003 when they defeated Wydad Casablanca 3-1 to clinch the title at home.

Upon arriving, Zamalek players were well-received by their passionate fans who are expected to pack the stadium to cheer for the White Knights.

“'Big teams who look for titles don't fear anyone. Esperance is a great team, and they are African champions in the last two years, but Zamalek also is a great club and we fear no one.” Zamalek manager, Patrice Carteron, said.

The Tunisian giants have played four CAF Super Cup finals but they only won the title once in 1995 while they lost the title on three occasions, including last year’s edition to Raja Casablanca.

“We know this Cup has been absent from our grasp for a long time. The Tunisian fans always support us in every game even when are playing outside our country. We love our fans supporting us in large numbers, this is a great honor for us.” Esperance assistant coach Mejdi Traoui said during the pre-final press conference.

The game starts on 18:00 (C.L.T).
