"Zamalek does not achieve victory in Ismailia." A sentence that no longer has any meaning after the White Knight managed to defeat the Darawish in Ismailia.

The White Knight defeated Al-Ismaili 2-0 in the 17th round of the Egyptian League.

Al-Ismaili first took the lead through Baher Al-Muhammadi from the penalty spot in the first half, before Zamalek turned the table to their favor with the goals of Youssef Ibrahim "Obama" and Mahmoud Alaa in the second half.

Before Sunday's confrontation, Zamalek had not been able to overthrow Ismaili at their home 14 years ago, specifically on September 26, 2006 when they won by the goal of Magdi Atwa.

Zamalek, led by Portuguese Manuel Kagoda, defeated Ismaili, coached by Mark Futah in the seventh round of the 2006-2007 season.

Zamalek raised their score to the 31st point in the third position, while Al-Ismaili balance stuck at 21st point in the ninth place after the second loss in a row.

Zamalek is now preparing to turn their sights on Qatar in order to face the Tunisian Esperance for the African Super.

An expected fiery confrontation that combines the White Knight with the Blood & Gold for the African Super Championship on the 14th of February.
