CAIRO - 8 February 2020: Egypt Futsal team failed to clinch CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations title as they lost the final 5_0 to the host nation, Morocco.

Morocco repeated their victory over the Pharaohs as the Lions of Atlas defeated Egypt in 2016 to win the title in South Africa.

However, Egypt and Morocco secured their spots at FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania alongside Angola who defeated Libya to win the bronze medal.

Egypt have had an amazing run at the competition as they secured the top spot at the group with three straight victories over Guinea, Angola and Mozambique.

At the semi-final, Egypt defeated Libya 5_1 to win qualification for the World Cup for the seventh time.

Egypt's best achievement at the tournament came in 2016 in Colombia when Egypt were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-finals.
