CAIRO – 6 February 2020: Egypt defeated Libya 5-2 on Wednesday at CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations semi-final to secure a spot at 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup Final.

Abdelrahman Mohamed opened the score for the pharaohs at the first half but the Libyan side secured a 1-1 draw before half time through Mohamed Suleiman Ghaeb.

The Egyptian side dominated the second half and added four goals through Abdelrahman Mohamed, Ahmed Mohamed, Mostafa Khalaf and Elmoatazbellah Abdelhalim while Ibrahim Lahammel added the second for the Libyan side.

The Egyptian team continued their amazing run at the competition as they secured the top spot at the group with three straight victories over Guinea, Angola and Mozambique.

Three-time champions Egypt booked a place at the final against the host nation and defending champions, Morocco, who defeated Angola 4-0 at the semis.

2020 Final will be a repeat of 2016 Final when Morocco defeated Egypt 3-2 in South Africa.
