CAIRO – 21 December 2019: Egyptian defender, Amr Tarek, signed a new contract with his American team, New York Red Bulls, that will keep the player for the new season.

Amr, who represented Wadi Degla, Enppi and El Gouna in Egypt, had a massive impact on his team since he joined the club from Orlando City SC, having played in 19 games, during which the team went victorious in 10 games, drew six and the team lost three games.

“Amr fit in well with our team from the start, and was solid when called upon last season. He’s a versatile defender, and his qualities fit well within our playing philosophy. Amro proved to be an important player for us and we’re pleased to extend his time with us into 2020 and beyond.” The team Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said.

Amr will continue his amazing journey in top competitions as he previously played in Spanish giants, Real Betis before moving to the MLS.

The team manager, Chris Armas, was happy after keeping Tarek inside the club, saying “Amr is a quality player, incredible person, and has fully committed himself to us. As a staff we’re pleased to have him in our defensive group and know that he is reliable in every way.”
