CAIRO – 19 December 2019: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, led his team to defeat Mexico’s Monterrey 2-1 to secure a spot at FIFA Club World Cup Final.

“I think it was a tough game. They were very aggressive against us, all of us cared about our legs. I think the referee did not protect that much but I am not here to complain about it,” Sala said after the game.

Salah provided an assist for Liverpool’s opening goal and he paved the way for his teammate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, to provide a wonderful cross to Roberto Firmino, who scored the late winner for the Reds.

Salah continued “I think in the end we showed our quality and won in the last minute so I think we deserved it.”

Liverpool will face Brazil’s Flamengo at the competition’s final and the English team is expecting a massive support from Egyptian fans who will pack the stadium to cheer for Salah like what they did at the semis.

Salah praised the Egyptian fans’ support, saying “I think the entire stadium was Egyptians, I could hear that today. I always feel Egyptian support everywhere, I feel love when they call my name. I am happy to hear that from them.”
