Egypt ambassador to Morocco reassures Al Ahly ahead of visit

CAIRO - 16 June 2017: Egypt’s ambassador to Morocco has been in touch with Al Ahly to follow up on details of the team’s arrival in Casablanca, Super Kora reported Friday.

Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco Ehab Abdel Ahad Gamal El Din and Deputy Ambassador and Embassy Counselor Mohamed Khalil spoke by phone on Friday with Samir Adly, director of external relations at Al Ahly. They inquired as to when the team will arrive in Casablanca and said they will have a delegation from the Embassy waiting for the Egyptian club.

El Din was keen to reassure Adly of all the arrangements related to Al Ahly’s trip to Morocco, Super Kora reported, including their housing, transportation and training grounds. He also said the embassy will offer all its efforts to overcome any obstacles the team may face.

Al Ahly is scheduled to travel to Morocco at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday in preparation for its match against Wydad Athletic Club on Tuesday, in the fourth round of group matches in the African Champions League.

Al Ahly leads group D with seven points, Zanaco FC comes second also with seven points because of the goal difference, Wydad Athletic Club is third with three points and Coton Sport Football Club de Garoua is at the bottom of the group table with 0 points.
