CAIRO –13- June 2017: Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was announced as the winner of the Bill Russell NBA final’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. Durant helped the Warriors win the 2017 championship on Tuesday .

Durant led Golden State to the title in his first season with the team. They went on to win four out of seven games in a series with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers managed to win only one out of seven games in the series.

Durant averaged 35.2 points per game in his first career NBA title, and It was only his second team championship.

The 28-year-old was traded to Golden State last summer from Oklahoma City Thunder in one of the biggest NBA deals of the season. The Golden State Warriors won the championship after beating Cleveland on Tuesday, ending the NBA season with a final score of 129-120.
