CAIRO – June 14 2017: Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is set to take the helm for F.C. Nantes in the next few days. Ranieri led Leicester to their only Premier League trophy.

According to ESPN and L’equipe, the French football club Nantes is going to appoint Ranieri as their coach after being given the green light from the French Football League to sign the 65 year old manager.

The move was delayed due to Ranieri’s age. The French football body has a policy that prevents clubs from signing managers who are 65 or above, according to Goal.

Ranieri was sacked in the middle of last season after Leicester City players went to the clubs owner asking for his removal for his failure to achieve success.
