CAIRO – 19 October 2019: Egypt national team striker, Ahmed Hassan known as Koka, revealed that Liverpool Egyptian winger and national team star, Mohamed Salah, does not control the national team.

“Salah has a wonderful strong personality but he does not control the national team manager’s choices. Salah is a wonderful person and he did not change despite the huge success he has achieved.” Koka said on Friday.

Salah and his teammates in the national team have been criticized as the national team suffered an early exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations at home after losing 1-0 to South Africa at the round of 16 and the national team manager at the time, Javier Aguiree, was sacked after the game.

The national team started a new stage and appointed Hossam El Badry to be the new manager.

El Badry’s first appearance with the national team was during a friendly game against Botswana on Monday which ended with a 1-0 win for the Egyptian team.
