CAIRO – 18 October 2019: Great news for Barcelona fans as the club manager, Ernesto Valverde, included Samuel Umtiti, Jordi Alba and Junior Firpo at the team list that will face Eibar on Saturday afternoon at the Spanish League.

Umtiti’s return is so important for Barcelona as the Catalan enter the game with two Center Backs, Todibo and Clement Langlet while the team veteran defender, Gerard Pique, misses the game for suspension.

Valverde’s announced squad for the game consists of:

Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Neto, Arnau Tenas

Defenders: Nelson Semedo, Jean-Clair Todibo, Clement Lenglet, Moussa Wague, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo

Midfielders: Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Arthur Melo, Carles Alena, Frenkie de Jong, Arturo Vidal

Forwards: Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Carles Perez, Ansu Fati

The Spanish Football Federation announced on Friday that the first clasico of the season between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Barca’s stadium, Camp Nou, is postponed.

The game was scheduled on 26 October at the Ctalan capital but the recent political tension in the region and the expected demonstrations on the day of the game forced the federation to postpone the game.

LaLiga requested to switch the venue of the game to Madrid and the second game in March to be played in Catalonia but the request saw opposition from both clubs.

Both clubs suggested 18 December as a new date for the biggest game of the football calendar across the world and they are waiting the federation’s approval.
