CAIRO – 13 June 2017: The goalkeeper is one of the most positions in football that requires a lot of skill and wise decisions, because it can cost you matches and trophies. There are three goalkeepers who are talented but also crazy.

Jose Rene Higuita Zapata famously known as ‘EL Loco’ for his sweeper keeper style of goalkeeping. On September 6 1995, in a friendly match between Columbia and England at Wembley Stadium, El Loco preformed a scorpion kick in order to block a shot from the English national team.

Twenty years later Higuita posted a video on his twitter account of him doing the scorpion kick once again in 2015. “Many say that the scorpion was a stroke of genius, others irresponsible. For me it was a work of God and all of it: perfect,” he said.

Rogerio Mucke Ceni is a legendary Brazilian goalkeeper who has scored 131 goals throughout his career, according to the Daily Mail. Ceni was a talented free kick and penalty taker, who was often called in for clinchers. He holds the record for most goals scored by a goalkeeper.

Also, the former Paraguayan International Jose Luis Felix Chilavert Gonzalez comes second in the list of goalkeepers with the most goals. According to the Daily Mail, Chilavert managed to score 67 goals throughout his career and holds the record as the goalkeeper who scored the most international goals with eight goals. The Paraguayan veteran goalkeeper was often called the Bulldog due to him wearing Bulldog shirt in many occasions.

Finally, among all those great goalkeepers comes the Legendary Russian goalkeeper Lev Ivanovich Yashin who holds the record of being the only goalkeeper to win the Ballon d’Or, in 1963 (Best Football Player of the year trophy). Yashin was nicknamed the Black Spider due to his super reflexes. Yashin, who died in 1990, is widely considered to be the greatest goalkeeper of all time.
