CAIRO - 13 June 2017: German football club Hertha Berlin SC made an offer via Twitter on June 9 for former Manchester United player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Citing Hertha Berlin’s official account, “No contract at Manchester United – We have great fans, but still no cash: But you can win the Bundesliga title for the first time. Think about it Ibrahimovic.”

The 35-year-old Swedish striker was released by Manchester United on June 9 with no sign of a new deal being offered for the veteran forward.

Still recovering from an ACL surgery, resulting from a double knee injury in a game against RSC Anderlecht on April 20, Ibrahimovic is not expected to play again until September 2017.

The former Swedish International striker has not responded to the invitation to win the Budgesliga title with Hertha. However, a move to the club may be unlikely as reports suggest Ibrahimovic is looking to have one last shot at the Champions League title next season before announcing his retirement.

According to the Guardian and the Sun, Ibrahimovic has been linked to potential moves to the Los Angeles Galaxy (U.S.) or China. After finishing the season with 28 goals for Manchester United, and now a free agent, Ibrahimovic has options for his next move.
