CAIR - 26 September 2019: Shawki Gharib, Egypt's Olympic team coach, revealed that Nigeria to face in a friendly match on October, in preparation for the 2019 African Nations Cup, which will be hosted by Egypt during the period from 8 to 22 November at Cairo stadium and Al Salam stadium, and qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Gharib told Youm7 that Egypt will be at the head of a group during the African Nations Cup draw, which will be hosted by Alexandria on October 3.

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced that the draw for the U-23 African Cup of Nations qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be held at the park in Alexandria on October 3 at 5 pm.

Eight teams - Egypt, hosts, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria (defending champions) and Mali - qualified for the tournament.
