CAIRO – 12 June 2017: Feyenoord Rotterdam will announce the launch of their first football academy in the region with a big ceremony on June 16 in Cairo.

Taking place at the Dusit Thani Lakeview Hotel near Garden City, well known Egyptian footballers including Hossam Ghaly, Sherif Ekramy and Haitham Farouk will be present.

The academy will be a great chance for young Egyptians who have a dream to be football players to get the skills to pursue their dreams.

Elbanoubi added, “It will provide young Egyptian players a free and complete program to improve and increase the chances to play abroad through Feyenoord.”

Feyenoord is the current champion of the Dutch league Eredevise and considered one of the best player factories in Europe, producing great players like Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, Feyenoord manager, and Robin Van Persie, former Arsenal and Manchester United player.
