CAIRO 16 September 2019: The first national football team’s football director position is witnessing a fierce competition between the former Ahly star Emad Metaeb and the dean of the world players Ahmed Hassan, which will be resolved in the next few hours.

Officials of the five-member Committee of the Football Federation approached to resolve the name of the coach of the national team of Egypt and the closest one is Ehab Galal.
EFA appointed a committee, which includes five members, to choose the next coach for the Egyptian national team.

EFA’s committee is about to offer the position to EhabGalal.

Essam Al-Hadari was also confirmed as coach of the team's goalkeepers within the assisting team of Hassan Shehata, while the position of the coach is still in doubt. It will be one of the following names: Abdel Zaher El Sakka, Mohamed Shawky, EmadMeteb and Hosni Abd Rabbo.

Egypt was eliminated from the 16th round of AFCON as South Africa won the game 1-0 thanks to a late goal from their winger, Thembinkosi Lorch. Following the game, Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abo Rida sacked the Egyptian national team coaching staff on the early hours of Sunday. Abo Rida, as well as many board members, resigned from their position.

Football Federation officials continued that the final names are EhabGalal, Hossam Al-Badri, TalatYousef, Hassan Shehata and Tarek el Ashry.
