CAIRO - 10 September 2019: Egypt's Olympic team, led by Shawki Gharib, will play his second friendly against Saudi Arabia at 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Petrosport Stadium in preparation for the African Cup of Nations 2019 hosted by Egypt during the period from 8 to 22 November at Al Salam and Cairo International Stadium.

The Egyptian Olympic team won in the first match 4/1, Taher Mohamed Taher and Ramadan Sobhi scored two goals from two penalties, and Ahmed Aboul Fotouh added the third goal from a powerful shot from outside the penalty area in the 25th minute, and in the 30th minute the Saudi team was able to reduce the result by scoring the first goal.

In the second half, Salah Mohsen managed to score the fourth goal for the Olympic team.

Shawki Ghareeb will give the chance to some players to participate and rest others after reassurance on their level in the first friendly, such as Ahmed Ryan, Salah Mohsen and Omar Radwan.

Egyptian Olympic football team, led by Shawki Ghareeb, insisted to include Zamalek’s player, Mostafa Mohamed, to play in Saudi Arabia friendly game.

Shawki Ghareeb also confirmed that it will be agreed in October next to play two African friendlies in October with two of the seven qualified teams to the the African Nations.

The regulations for the African Nations Championship require seven teams to qualify for the final tournament, as well as host country Egypt, who are divided into two groups.
