CAIRO 9 September 2019: Zamalek won the Egyptian Cup for the 27th time in its history, after defeating Pyramids in the final of the tournament 3/0 in the game held in Borg El Arab in Alexandria.



Zamalek won the local title to maintain their clean sheet during the tournament version, where all the teams they faced in the different rounds of the Egyptian Cup failed to score any goals in the white net.

Zamalek beat Menia Samanoud 1-0 in the 32nd round, and then beat Al Intag Al Harby 2-0 in the 16th round, and in the quarter-finals they faced Misr Al Makssah, won 1-0. The White castle met, after then, Ittihad Alexandria, in the semi-finals and beat them 1-0.

The match between Zamalek and Pyramids witnessed three goals without a reply scored by Youssef Obama, and Ashraf Bin Sharqi scored the second and third goals.

Zamalek have won the Egyptian Cup title six times in the last 7 years.
