CAIRO – 23 August 2019: Mohamed Elneny’s time at Arsenal is expected to come to an end soon after the club manager, Unai Emery, told the Egyptian player that he is not included at his plans for the new season.

Emery told Elneny and his German teammate, Shkodran Mustafi, to search for a new challenge.

“They are very big players but for one circumstance or another they are going to have fewer chances to show their capacity or to be happy with us and the minutes they play in matches,” the manager said o Friday.

Arsenal have added new players to their squad last summer with the hope to challenge for the titles this season.

Emery added “I am wishing the best for them. I think now the best for them is to be protagonists in another team and to get another challenge for themselves.”

Since Emery’s arrival as an Arsenal manager in 2018 summer, Elneny failed to earn a spot at the team and he was only available for the Europe League games.
