Egyptian Basketball Federation meeting held in preparation for tournaments

CAIRO – 11 June 2017: The Egyptian Basketball Federation will convene on Sunday to discuss important issues, including upcoming African Nations tournaments.

Magdy Abou Farikha, president of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, is expected to both draft topics of interest and moderate the meeting.

The head of the delegation for the Women’s Youth Basketball team, which recently won first place in Africa zone five, is expected to submit a report about the preparations of the National Team in the upcoming African Nations Champions Cup that will be held in Mozambique in August 2017.

One of the biggest points of discussion has to be the preparations for the Youth Basketball World Cup, which are to be held in Egypt from July 1 to 9.

Egypt, Angola, Mali, the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Iran, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, France, Lithuania, Italy, Germany and Spain are the nations that are set to compete.
