CAIRO, 12 August 2019:Tunisian international Fergani Sassi, Zamalek midfielder, took rest from his team preparations for the game against Dekadaha, Somalia, scheduled for next Friday, in the first leg of the 64th round of the African Champions League, which will be held at the stadium Petrosport.

Sassi had a rest after the Premier League competition and traveled to Tunisia to spend his vacation with his family after his participation with the Carthage Eagles in the African Cup of Nations hosted by Egypt during the period from 21 June to 19 July last in addition to his participation with Zamalek at the end of the league.

Sassi participated with Zamalek in 40 games this season; 23 games in the Egyptian League as he scored seven goals, 11 games in CAF Confederation Cup and he scored two goals, 4 games in Arabian Championship, Egypt’s Cup and Egypt & Saudi Super Cup.

Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour said he is inviting all the old football stars of the White Club to be present with the club's board in a meeting next Tuesday to choose the new foreign manager.
Mortada Mansour continued in a video published by the official website of the Zamalek club, that the CVs of Six coaches will be displayed to choose the best among them and invite all the old stars of Zamalek, headed by Hassan Shehata, Hazem Imam, Ayman Younis, Reda Abdel Aal and Gamal Hamza.

Mortada Mansour said that he will announce at 12 noon next Tuesday, the name of the coach of the team and 48 hours later he will be brought to Cairo in preparation for starting his task.

Zamalek appointed their former player, Tarek Yehia, as a caretaker manager and they are searching for a new manager to lead the team at the new season after the board sacked Khaled Galal following the Egyptian league title loss to Al-Ahly.

Galal, who succeeded Swiss manager, Cristian Gross, led the team during the last stage of the season in which the team lost the title to their arch rivals, Al-Ahly.
