West Ham United hosts the Premier League defending champions, Manchester City, on Saturday in London at the first round of the Premier League new season.

Manchester City won back-to-back Premier League titles and they are expecting a tough competition this season from the big teams in England, especially the 2019 UEFA Champions League winners, Liverpool.

On the other hand, West Ham United, led by Manuel Peeligrini, had a busy summer as they have strengthened their squad by two promising talents, Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals.

Man City manager, Pep Guardiola, preferred to keep the club’s all time goal scorer, Sergio Aguero, on the bench while he decided to start the game with Algerian winger, Ryad Marez, alongside Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.

Man City’s starting line-up for the game consists of : Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko; Rodri, De Bruyne, David Silva; Mahrez, Sterling and Jesus.

West Ham’s starting line-up consists of: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell; Rice, Wilshere; Anderson, Antonio, Lanzini and Haller.

The game starts on 1;30 pm.
