CAIRO – 9 August 2019: Manchester United new signing, Harry Maguire, will be ready to support his team on Sunday when they open the Premier League new season against Chelsea at home.

“Harry is ready to play. I am sure he will put himself up, when I ask him on Sunday morning, if he is available, because he has played many games for Leicester over the pre-season.” Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said.

Maguire joined Manchester United from Leicester City for a transfer fee of £80 million, which made him the most expensive defender in the history.

Solskjaer added “Harry has impressed me, very much so. He has come in as a presence. He is taller and bigger than I thought. He has come in as a real plus. He will have an impact on the rest of the boys.”

Maguire established himself as one of the best defenders in the League since he joined Leicester from Hull City and he became a starting defender for the national team.

Maguire hopes to help his new teammates to challenge their biggest rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool, for the title.
