CAIRO - 9 August 2019: Inter Milan announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign their Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku.

The striker joined Inter for a club record fee of 80m euros for five years.

"Inter were the only club I wanted, I am here to bring the Nerazzurri back to the top." Lukaku said after he signed his contract.

Lukaku was Inter's main target at the transfer market and they hope that bringing him could allow them to challenge for the Italian league title.

Manchester United lost the only striker at their squad and they could not replace him as they failed to reach a deal with Juventus to sign Croatian striker, Mario Mandzukic.

Manchester United failed to reach theUEFA Champions League last season and they hope for a better season this year at the Premier League.

Manchester United open the new season of the Premier League at home on Sunday against Chelsea.
